For more than 90 years, the University has met the needs of the state and its citizens through research, education, and public engagement. The Community Fund Drive, the University’s annual giving campaign that runs October 1–31, enables our faculty and staff to continue our historic commitment to service and outreach by donating to the causes in our community they care most about.

Each year the University partners with four vetted federations:

• CHC: Creating Healthier Communities
• Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless
• Greater Twin Cities United Way
• UNCF (United Negro College Fund)

Faculty and staff can also donate to any 501(c)(3) non-profit through the Community Fund Drive.

Donations made through the Community Fund Drive help hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans overcome poverty and injustice, find cures for chronic diseases, and make higher education more accessible and affordable.

Giving through the Community Fund Drive is easy and safe. Employees can make a one-time donation or give a little each paycheck. Donations can also be made by credit card or check. Payroll deduction is both easy for employees and provides federations and charities with reliable donations, reducing administrative costs.
